The garden, known as the Image Garden, is Grade II listed on the English Heritage Historic Parks and Gardens Register. Laid out in Italianate style, it is full of statues and sculptures created by a previous owner in the early 19th Century - the late Thomas Bland; artist, poet, sculptor, composer and geologist. A garden party was held here every year to celebrate the accession of Queen Victoria to the throne with up to 1400 people attending to listen to music, poetry and readings.
Situated in Reagill, a delightful little village, it is close to the Lake District and surrounded by the beautiful rolling countryside of the Eden Valley. Nearby attractions include Brougham Castle, Acorn Bank and gardens, Rheged Discovery centre and Wetheriggs Pottery.
