Detailed Information about the Accommodation at Yew Tree Farm

Outside: One patio at the front of the house with giant picnic table, hot tub, large front lawn, ample parking and barbecue. Small patio in the Image Garden with seating for six.

The ground floor: Fitted with underfloor heating throughout, it is almost entirely finished in stone flags.

Entrance: Coat rail and bench with storage underneath for boots and shoes.

Main Hall: Writing desk with information folder on the house and the area, leaflets on things to do, small sofa, views across to the Pennines.Dining Room: Two very large dining tables to seat up to 16 people together, heated stone seat by log fire, coffee table, stereo, dresser and sideboard and games cupboard. Door through to kitchen and living room.

Living Room: Sofas and armchairs to seat 15 people, log fire, TV with Digibox, DVD, Stereo, Video. Doors through to garden and patio.

Kitchen: Full height fridge and full height freezer, twin electric oven Smeg cooker with six ring gas hob, combi microwave, dishwasher and seating for up to ten people and ample storage space. Toaster, blender, kettle, full selection of kitchenware as well as a small supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and butter to start the week off!

Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer, spare fridge and freezer, drying rack and large sink. Downstairs WC: With wash hand basin.Ground floor bedroom 7: Adjoining the main hall, with separate entrance from the outside this room is carpeted. King size bed, sofa and small kitchenette with kettle, microwave and extra set of crockery. En-suite shower room with WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

First Floor is carpeted throughout and so we ask that dogs be restricted to the ground floor. There is a small reading area with sofa and book case as well as map of the area. Master Bedroom 1: Super King size bed, two large wardrobes, TV and stereo, electric curtains onto small balcony overlooking Image Garden. En-suite bathroom with separate digitally controlled shower, WC, bidet, twin sinks and sunken bath. This room leads into the nursery.

Second Master Bedroom 2: Overlooking Image Garden, Super King size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and working fireplace, TV and stereo. En-suite bathroom with hand shower over bath, WC and sink.

Bedroom 3: Super King zip-and-link bed, bed can be made into twin, wardrobe, chest of drawers, TV and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and sink. Above the patio with views across to the Pennines.

Bedroom 4: Standard double bed with drawers underneath, built-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and sink. Views towards the Pennines.

Bedroom 5: Two single beds and chest of drawers with views across the Pennines. Shared bathroom with bedroom 6.Bedroom 6: Bunk-bed with standard double mattress below and single above, chest of drawers in hall and view across the Pennines. Shared bathroom with bedroom 5.

Family bathroom: Bath with shower over bath, sink and WC.

Nursery: With travel cot and linen supplied.

Pet Policy: We allow dogs  but do not allow bitches in season. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or upstairs and should not be left unattended in the house.

Smoking: Smokers are welcome but smoking is strictly prohibited in all bedrooms.

Image Garden: Although the garden is not open to the public, we occasionally let local historical societies as well as relatives of Thomas Bland tracing their roots come to visit the garden. We do however try to make sure this causes as little disturbance as possible.
